Joy

Jeanette Byström GreinEnglish blog

We should like the children, enjoy more of the happiness of just being, and take advantage of all moments of joy and happiness that happends everyday in our life. Small pleasures can be to hear someone having a good laugh, a meeting in town, a kid who sticks his hand in yours, a good meal, to experience the beauty of nature, listening to music that you like, grilling sausages in the woods… When we experience and take advantage of those moments, even if they are very short,  we can relive them again in memory, when one day feels heavy. If we do so, we feel so much better in our body and our soul.

Children can sit in the sand and play for hours and they can be completely in a bubble of joy, just by being there. They can enjoy and marvel at a small butterfly that soars up or who sits on a beautiful flower. Have we still got our discovery of joy left or have we lost it?

Make it a habit to feel the joy more often in your life and start feeling better day by day.

Joy can not be held back if you feel it. Joy attracts other people and affects you and others positively. Others enjoy to be with joyful people so pick up the joy within you and spread it to others.

When you feel the joy or happiness, breathe in the feeling and take it into your body and feel the joy that comes within you, by this simple act, breathing.

A beautiful poem that I usually have on my courses in personal development, here below. I do unfortunately not know who wrote it:

Happiness

Happiness may be that only to exist

Happiness can be a rain in April

Happiness can be a sleep in the morning

Happiness can be only to be two

Happiness can be to hear and see

Happiness can be to take and give

Happiness can be a soft infant hand

Happiness can be a bait at the beach

Yes, happiness is found in a lot, my friend

The thing is – to be able to take care of it

With light and greatings
